Artist Kate Endle’s new board books are so charming. There’s What is Green? It’s all about colors. And there’s Who Hoo Are You? Which is all about animals. Both are delightful. It’s been awhile since we added a board book to our collection. I’m looking forward to picking up some of my favorites for this new baby.
Looking for additional artistic, well-designed board books? Here are some of my favorites:
-Charlie Harper’s ABCs and 123s
-Alison Jay’s board books
-Mathew Porter’s ABC and Count the Birdies
-Susan Goldman Rubin’s collection of artist-themed board books — Andy Warhol’s Colors, Matisse Dance with Joy, Magritte’s Imagination and Counting with Wayne Thiebaud

These look great, thanks! I love collage art! -and owls. :)
Love these ideas! I’m a sucker for childrens books! In fact, I recently wrote about some faves I came across by Sara gillingham and Lorena siminovich! These board books with little finger puppets are too cute! You’d love them.
Nice!
My personal favourite is Oliver Jeffers. Artwork is beautiful and the narrative is charming… a pleasure to read to my daughter. Check him out at: http://www.oliverjeffers.com (in case you have any upcoming showers)
These are great! My daughter, Wren, loves the Matisse book you mentioned. And we do too! I think you should add to your well-designed, artistic list Planting a Rainbow by Lois Ehlert.
Great comments and great suggestions! I’m off to check out your recommendations.
These are beautiful. I keep kicking myself for missing out on the Charlie Harper books when they went on clearance at Old navy!
I love Haiku Baby by Betsy Snyder !
My kids loved the little Haiku’s and lovely illustrations.
My son just got The Very Hungry Caterpillar for his birthday and I remembered being mesmerized by the “short” pages with the holes in the food. Still love it!
This board book is sooooooo cute!!!!!!!!!!!
Such a sweet selection. I am quite fond of Baby Food from Joost Elffers and Saxton Freymann too.
